Night Community

This sound piece was produced for the 2024 Heritage Open Days event in Ninebanks Northumberland which had the theme of community.  The community I had in mind was the creatures of the night that inhabit the same physical space as us and yet we tend to be unaware of them. I recorded bats and other sounds overnight and then made a composition by slowing these recordings down to so that they are within the human audible range.
