About

Born, Bideford, Devon, 1960

I am an artist and a scientist - this website is principally about art. See here for my scientific profile.

My arts practice uses a range of media (including drawing, photography, sound and video) to explore our sense of being and place. I am interested in the relationship between our immediate subjective sensory experience and our rational understanding informed by science, culture, history and memory.

I live and work in Hexham, Northumberland
